Description

Bringing the popular arena fighter to mobile devices, this Android port lets you experience Tanjiro’s demon-slaying adventures right on your phone. Based on the hit anime series, the game recreates those intense battles with Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke while you’re fighting demons across familiar locations from the show.

The mobile version adapts the PC and console game’s core combat system for touchscreens. You’ll follow Tanjiro through the story mode, starting from his early days in the Demon Slayer Corps and progressing through major story arcs.

Combat feels responsive enough on mobile, though it obviously can’t match the precision of controller play. Characters use their signature Breathing Techniques Water Breathing for Tanjiro, Thunder Breathing for Zenitsu, and so on.

These attacks look impressive with particle effects that try to capture the anime’s visual style, even if the mobile hardware limits what’s possible compared to the original release.

The character roster includes heroes and villains from the series. Tanjiro and Nezuko are joined by other Corps members and some demon opponents like Rui. Each fighter has unique movesets that reflect how they fight in the anime.

The tag-team system lets you pair characters together, which works better than you might expect on a smaller screen. Versus mode supports local play if you want to battle against friends.

Performance varies depending on your device. Higher-end phones handle the graphics pretty well, but you’ll notice frame drops on older hardware during busy fight scenes.

The developers included graphics settings so you can adjust visual quality to match your phone’s capabilities. Storage is something to consider too the game takes up a fair amount of space, so make sure you have room before downloading.

Gameplay and Mobile Features

Touch controls take some getting used to. Virtual buttons replace physical controllers, and pulling off complex combos requires practice. The game tries to make things easier with simplified control options, but there’s still a learning curve if you’re used to playing fighters with actual buttons.

Auto-save works well for mobile sessions that get interrupted, which happens a lot when you’re playing on a phone.

The story mode is the main attraction here. It follows the anime’s plot fairly closely, letting you experience key battles firsthand. Cutscenes use the game’s graphics engine rather than anime footage, which looks decent but not spectacular on mobile. Between fights, you’ll do some basic exploration and collect items, though these segments feel like filler compared to the combat.

What You Need to Know

Installing requires enabling unknown sources in your Android settings first. The APK file is around 1.2GB, with additional data downloaded after installation. Android 7 or newer works, though Android 9+ performs better.

Online multiplayer isn’t available in most mobile versions, so you’re mainly getting the story mode and local versus battles.

The mobile port doesn’t include all the DLC characters from the console versions. You get the base roster, which is still enough variety for casual play. Graphics look compressed compared to PC, but that’s expected on mobile hardware.
